-25°C and a strong east wind makes you feel like you´re somewhere in Antarctica.
I was on top of the mountain around one minute, even with having walked all the way up on my skis, but it was just too cold to stay there for a longer time.
It was a bit hazy on that day, but I guess that was because of the snowstorms and the extremely cold atmosphere. Gosh, I´m already freezing again if I´m just looking at the picture
Viewpoint: "Siplingerkopf" mountain (1,746 m) in the Allgäu Alps, southern Bavaria, Germany.
Argh!! I bet you were really freezing when I read your description! Really bad circumstances to capture a photograph!
The viewpoint from the Mountain must be pretty impressive, but I think it didn't really convert itself for 100% well to your picture. Nor do I feel the feeling of being on a mountain.
I can't really say how it comes, probably the general composition where the foreground gets easily mixed up with the valley's underground. Perhaps choosing another perpective, a little more to the right and a little closer to the ground might've been a solution.
Also, the right side of your picture is really darker and doesn't really catch the eye as it should too. Basicly not many will directly look further than the left-center side of your picture rather than going all the way to the right. It's probably because of the mist that's preventing full sight aswell as the low sun.
Overall, this picture is not bad, but I can't say it's been one of the most stunning pieces of work I've seen. Still my biggest respect to take out your camera in such cold circumstances, winter can be harsh!
Versprechen gehalten .
